The lake is both home and a stopping off point to many waterfowl, this point at the water's edge is popular with visitors, as the paving allows access right up to waters edge without ruining your footwear in the marshy ground. See how many birds you can identify - there is a large colour display board to help you.
The wildfowl will come right up alongside you, and some are taller than a small child, so watch your ears don't get pecked!
Notice the new METAL shelter, with ramp access, great for buggies and wheelchairs. Plus - the new metal construction should ensure the shelter does not suffer the same spontaneous combustion as its wooden prdecessor!
