Leeds Bridge, River Aire, Leeds
Leeds. West Yorkshire
The present bridge was built in 1873, replacing a medieval bridge. This bridge was the only crossing point between Kirkstall and Swillington until the 19th Century.

Many of the Victorian warehouses in this area have been converted to new uses as bars, office space and restaurants. New apartments line the banks of the river.

Leeds Bridge crosses the River Aire, heads North as Lower Briggate, Briggate, and heads out of the centre as North Street . Work was under way during 2001 to strengthen the bridge - hence the bollards.
