The street name belies the fact that this street is very unlike the Park Square and Queens Square this back street leads the eye to the Leeds Town Hall.

If this photograph had been taken in the early 1970's you would think black and white film had been used, as every building was jet black with grime, but the 'clean-up' of the Town Hall, and the redevelopment of the street has created a warmer looking passageway.
