Local folklore has it that (had he successfully invaded Britain), Adolf Hitler planned to use 'Quarry Hill' flats as his European Headquarters, he never did make it - but the DSS did! This impressive building now faces the city from the site where nearly 1,000 'flats' stood.
In a strange nod to history, the architects managed to include a mooring post atop the building to accommodate any passing Zeppelins!
