The Queens Hotel, The Majestyk Night Club, The Leeds Central Post Office and The Observatory Bar can be seen from the square, which has as its centre piece a statue of 'The Black Prince'

The Square is now pedestrian access only, and the lack of traffic seems to sit uneasily around what was once the busiest hub of the Leeds road system.
