Abbey House Musem, Kirkstall

Perching on the hillside overlooking Kirkstall Abbey and its grounds, Abbey House is home to a wealth of historical artefacts many relating to Leeds life and, of course, the Abbey. It began life as a gatehouse for the Abbey in the 11th Century, indeed the distinctive arches of the original entrance can still be seen from the exterior where they form the oldest part of the existing building.
